“The Sound of Insecurity” started recording on September 1984 and the recording sessions ended on November 1985. This was a Stress’ self-financing, ‘painstakingly’ production of 300 copies. It includes songs that in their majority were usually performed in front of a very small audience mostly of punks, during the period 1982-85. Back then, several musicians performed with the band and they merit reference as each one contributed to Stress’ sound effect: John Kafantaris on drums, Frank on vocals, Billy Knight on piano and keyboards, Tommy Bouzianis on guitar, John Papakostas on vocals, John Karydis on drums, Spyros Bokos Mandelos on guitar, ANTI Mimis on bass, John Venardis on drums, Leonidas Papadopoulos on bass.

This LP was also re-released in 1987 by Wipe-Out Records in 300 copies. The present release by B-otherside records would constitute the LP’s third pressing.

This reissue ensues from our inner music delirium that hasn’t subsided yet and after all these years, sounds for us, opportune (well-timed) and fresh, both to our new friends, who think and react, and old friends who continue to contest and pursue social justice.
Nowadays, in 2013, our sound comes back, re-mastered, the way we wanted it to be in previous days. This album has been made to sound out LOUD!
